My old external hdd drive died and I've been reading up on the Time Capsule.

The things that interest me the most are it's extended network capabilities like the 5.0 GHz function, more range and wifi speed of 450 mpbs. Also it's ability to let you acces data wherever you are.

But I have a few questions regarding that. Can I watch high def movies on my MPB if I'm away through my TC at home? Because I expect its speed to be an issue.

Your ISP upload speed will be the limiting factor to accessing it while away from home. American upload speeds from ISPs are borderline pathetic. You might be able to install AirVideo or Plex to be able to have mobile app access to your media that is downconverted to be able to upload with your internet connection.

Fair enough. I live in the Netherlands, where internet is pretty much awesome.

But streaming HD video's is probably too taxing I guess.
