when the wired news article came out a few days ago covering the history of the iPod development it got me thinking. i did some research and found this nugget of forum goodness from 5 years ago. the comments on the very first iPod announcement are HILARIOUS in retrospect. enjoy.

I still can't believe this! All this hype for something so ridiculous! Who cares about an MP3 player? I want something new! I want them to think differently!

I'd call it the Cube 2.0 as it wont sell, and be killed off in a short time...and it's not really functional.
