installing a fresh copy of leopard..obv it will overwrite everything correct? does it have a feature where u can resurrect ur programs..files everything?!??!

I haven't done this but I believe you can choose a fresh install which will erase everything or an 'upgrade' type install (it's not called an upgrade, but if you search the forums you'll find it).

And I believe the upgrade does not erase anything.

As I said, I've not done it so by all means get a second opinion.

Cheers.

When installing there is an 'options button', you can choose to keep your files etc. or 'Erase and Install', deleting them. Many less problems have occurred for those who erased after a backup then re-transfered...

Not true. I keep my Mac pretty clean and I don't let crap that I don't use stay installed and I did an upgrade and everything's running great (except for the bugs that are Leopard bugs and not compatibility problems).
