I just found this one year old video and I think it's great. It's talking about how to properly listening to Apple Music Hi-Res lossless.
My iPad Air is a few years old & I can see when I upgrade I'll use this one to drive my home music listening experience to a whole new, Hi-Res level.🔥

I'm not sure he's right here. He keeps saying you're fine to use AirPlay for 24/48, but if you look in the settings for Apple Music 24/48 is listed as "lossless" - AirPlay famously doesn't stream lossless, as far as I'm aware.

The other consideration is that the device saying it is outputting in High Res Lossless is only one part of the equation to what our ears will pick up. I'm sceptical of the dongle being a high quality DAC, and the RME he's plugged into has a list price of around £1000.

For hundreds of pounds less than that you can get something like the Marantz PM7000N, which just needs speakers. Or the Cambridge AXN V2 network streamer, which needs plugging into an amp and speakers.
