Hey all, I got an Intel 320 for my 2011 MBP with the intention of using it for a year or so in this computer, then putting it into my 2008 aluminum Macbook when SATA3 SSDs come down a tad in price and compatibility is more stable.

But...

I got my daily email from buy.com today advertising this Kingston 64GB V100 for $64 after rebate. I'm tempted to buy it and stick it in my old Macbook now. $64 is a tempting price. Is this a decent SSD for my old beater computer?

It is for the price. The v+ is better but its also more money. If you can live with 64g its a good deal. You might want to take a look at Newegg's reviews on this drive since there's a lot of comments about drive failures after just a couple of months. Its a value SSD so there's some compromises for sure.
