Well today my 2006 12" pbg4 12" just died. Dc board went out I think. It was a good run but all good things end sometime.

*sigh*

So sorry to hear about your loss. My 12 PB 1.0 G4 lost it's logic board 4 days before it's applecare expired a few years ago. My heart was in my throat though. Was almost like losing someone really close to you.

I just managed to fix it, my ram cover was touching the slot, put in a paper business card in between the two and now its working again.

I ****ing love this machine.

When you spend 4 years of your life relying on a machine, it becomes more than a computer. It becomes a friend. ;)

Not really. That said, I get attached to cars and despite not having driven it for 3 years I don't want to sell my Saxo VTS (sad I know) as t'll just be wiped out my a kiddy in a town centre. We've been to the ring an many other tracks though and had fun together.

Any of my computers I could quite happily put in a skip
