Did we ever figure out why WWDC was branded as "A landmark event. In more ways than one." There was all this speculation about what it could mean, but I don't think there was anything in the keynote that fit this description.

Maybe Snow Leopard and iPhone 3G? Am I missing anything?
 
Def: "An event marking an important stage of development or a turning point in history."

You could argue both parts of this definition, but I see the important stage as Applications and 3G...
