a little advice-for a new first MBP buyer

I just bought a 2010 base 15" I5 from the apple refurb store for $1269. This is my first mac and thought it made more sense to get this machine rather than the new 13" base I5. Is there anything i should do right out of the gate since its a refurbished machine? Thanks in advance.
