Ok, so I have Bento 2 and im stuck on something. Ive had Bento 1, then got 2 but never really used until today, the iPhone app came out and now, i want it to work in my ecosystem. So,
my situation is the following. I have my iPhone which has always been for personal use but now im starting to grow (small business) so im dealing with a lot of clients. At first, I didnt want to mix my contacts but I seem to have no choice. With that in mind, I ended up just writing "client" in the notes section and then created a group in my Address Book called clients and ill do a search every week for that word and update it (although, it just came to my mind that I can create a smart group and that will auto fill in for me....AZA!!)
Soooo. Now, were back to Bento. Within Bento, I see my groups and my Address book and thats super fantastic but, I dont get how they can integrate with the Bento fields or can they....For example, Id like to keep track of my projects or customers ive billed so I have a billing section and a customer section. Except, every time, I will have to fill in the customer info from blank. I see no way of dragging that info from the address book field that I have. I know in those sections (the forms you create), I can add the address book client field in there, but thats not helpful because it creates its own section with that info in, not filling in the main First Name, Last Name, Company, Phone number section of the form. And because thats its own little field, under the table view of Billing for example, it show that address book group that was dragged in there.
So it all seems redundant, if I need to refill in peoples info, over and over again. There has to be a way where those fields can get info from my Address Book right? Any answer would be more then welcomed while I comb for more info on Bentos site and watch some more vids there.
Edit 1: of course Bento dosent see Smart Contact Lists....woulda been too convenient
Edit 2: But in Bento, you can then create smart contacts and have it do that...ok so atleast that works lol
