a little bit of lag in video

Just got my first air and i might keep this over my 15" RMBP

what i notice so far is that when i open a video, it takes about 5 seconds for the video to be in HD, i guess this is normal?
in the RMBP, the video comes on crystal clear right away
 
What are you using to play the video? Is this in iTunes, or YouTube, or?
