I currently have an iPhone 5C running IOS 10.2.1. General Settings says the capacity is 28.68 GB with 16.86 GB available. I really don't do anything too fancy with the phone. I keep my photos on it; just haven't learned nor felt the need to move them to off yet. And I don't use it to keep much music on. The phone does seem to be running a bit slow, probably because it is an older phone using the latest IOS update. At any rate, I now find myself considering to perhaps buying a new/newer iPhone this year. I am wondering if anyone has any basic guidelines on how much memory capacity one should consider? In the past I fear I have overestimated what my needs would be for computers. Don't want to do that, but still want to make sure I get enough. Plus, I honestly am not sure what greater capacity actually gains one in an iPhone. Speed? Programs? Storage? Thanks for any help.
