Hi folks.
I posted something similar in the MBP forum earlier, and I think I have come to the conclusion that 90% of my issue was going from a SSD to a HDD
I was planning on getting a 2012 13" Air with upgraded RAM, but I had the opportunity to purchase an open box Mid 2012 base 13" Pro for $850 and I jumped at it.
The computer seems slower than my old 2010 13" Air. I think it is because I have went from using an Air with a SSD to a Pro with a HDD?
So, long story short, I have read the SSD sticky, researched as much as I could for the day, and have come to the conclusion that I want a 256 SSD. I am just having trouble making heads or tails out of a lot of the data that I have taken in .
I know I want an 256GB SATA III drive. I do not want to have to mess with firmware updates. I would like the drive to run as easily as possible with out TRIM enabled.
Samsung 830?
Crucial M4?
OWC?
Intel?
I am looking for a hassle free solution. One that I do not have to worry about firmware updates and things of that nature.
I am now more familiar with TRIM support and understand that I may or may not benefit from having it enabled on a sandforce drive.
What I am asking, is in your collective opinions, is what the the best hassle free SSD for the money and my system?
