So, here goes:
I have been eligible for the iphone upgrade for about a year, I just reserved/purchased the new 3GS online at the apple store. Then I have been checking my eligibility status at AT&T, it is seem that it hasn't been updated since I bought the 3GS from Apple, and when I am online with my account at AT&T, it is letting me get the 3G for the $99 price.
Apple says it is still processing my order, so, if (hypothetically speaking) could I get both phones? The 3G from AT&T at the $99 price, and then the 3GS that I just ordered. Or would Apple find out, and then void out my order before the 3GS ships? I don't imagine how they could really check up on this, and they have already debited my account.
I am currently without an iphone, and I am usign a cheap $10 go phone ever since my original iphone was stolen. (I bought my original iphone second-hand, so I never went through At&T or Apple for their subsidized pricing).
Just curious, I don't think I would really take advantage of this situation, or risk losing my eligibility for the 3GS if I buy the $99 3G now from AT&T.
