iPod A method to create a live playlist from a directory?

I use Songbird a lot to download tracks from the web into a directory called /songbird. While I use Songbird for this feature, I would also very much like to have these songs available from my iTunes app as well

Is there a way to create a playlist in iTunes that automatically searches for mp3s in a specified directory (in this case /songbird)?
