The other day I went to Twelve Oaks Mall to meet a friend for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I arrived early so I went exploring. I noticed a Microsoft "popup" kiosk in one of the hallways. Unlike the Apple store where hundreds of customers are gathered around tables containing everything from iPads to iPhones to various Macbooks, the 2 guys in red T-shirts at the Microsoft kiosk seemed to be dying of boredom and I couldn't control my urge to smirk. It was also incredibly easy to control my temptation to wander over and examine one of the Surface Pro 3's or Xboxes they had on display. Oh how the mighty have fallen. There was a time when Microsoft was the most valuable company in the world. In fact, adjusted for inflation, Apple still hasn't hit the valuation Microsoft once had. But to me there is no doubt Apple is on upward trajectory while Microsoft is still trying to figure out what to do next.

Just to be clear, this thread isn't intended a shot across the bow of all the MS fans out there. There is a lot to be said for the merits of Surface 3, Xbox, Kinect, Office 365 and other MS products. I'm just sharing anecdotal evidence I observed one day at a local mall that struck a chord with me because I'm so happy with my Apple gear.
