So for the last week or so, ive been working with the squarespace trial and have been planning on getting the more expensive tier of service being that its the only option they have which allows for members to register to a squarespace site.
Bascially put im moving from a 3 year old "Webs" site that is no longer able to handle the traffic, and has never really looked that good to something which is more "social network" like. Our website is going to mostly be centered around a few blogs so i need to be able to have multiple blogs, with a few editors, however i would also like to manage member permissions, and allow members to log in with facebook connect. The main blogs will be the center of the whole website, with forums an such taking 2nd stage.
Unfortunately, squarespace has not really been as social as i would have liked, so i am wondering if any of you guys have experience with the likes of social go or ning or any sites that are more community centric.
Price is not the biggest issue, my ideal budget will be around 35 a month, however i may have upto 50 a month if it really is worth the extra money.
I know squarespace is commonly referred to the Apple of blog hosts... so what would be the Apple of social network hosts?
Any advice will be much appreciated.
