Depends on my mood
Hi all.

I want a music player that will work on my iMac G3 with OS 8.5. Not just a player though. I need one that stores music on the HD, sort of like iTunes. Quicktime is no help. Realplayer is too new. What other players out there store music, AND run on 8.5? Now, you may suggest some that run on 8.6, and i might upgrade. Just one question. Will any of my written documents and such go "kerplunk" if i upgrade?

ive been running audion and i like it....

i dont really like how the playlist window is separate from the player control window....but im used to winamp

comes with a control strip module too....=D

Thats because SoundJam was bought by Apple, and then turned into iTunes. So in effect, yes, SoundJam has been mentioned.

I'm aware. But on an older system SoundJam runs better than iTunes. At least it always did for me. I hated iTunes til I got my first gen iPod off of ebay... Then I had to use it, and it was slow on my (old) machine.

I've had pretty good luck with iTunes on my 3400c/200... playing audio files.

I have found that it is painfully slow importing though.
