Why bother

Unlike the dev-mode hack, Amnesty allows you to embed Dashboard widgets directly in your desktop, in the document level or floating, as well as allowing you to set "click-through," opacity and other settings.

(and Amnesty does support Apple's default OS X widgets, but only if run on Tiger -- under Panther, they are not supported).

For me, I really can't see ANY reason for this! If you have anything open you have to change the window to see the widget on your desktop or have to navigate around the floating widget.
I tried everything with Konfab, and couldn't get it to suit me, Dashboard is just there when I want it - perfect for me, but only an opinion!

There was a thread on this the other day, sorry I can't find it.

I actually find this program really useful. I keep certain widgets just sitting on the desktop so that I can always see them.
