I was reading a thread earlier about a potential buyer asking about the problem laden MacBook Pros and if it's a good idea to buy one since Apple's quality control has apparently taken a downward spiral.
Of course you have the repliers stating that only a small percentage of buyers who have these issues are also more likely to post since they are looking for answers, than say the computer buyer with no issues who would also not be likely to post about their laptops that have no issues.

I would like to state that my 17" Rev A. Macbook Pro (2.16 Core Duo) has had no issues since I had purchased it in Sept 2006. My only regret was that I didn't wait one more month and purchased a Rev B Core 2 Duo machine. But in that time frame I was not well informed about when Apple updates their line of Macbooks, but other than that I have been pleased with this fine machine for it suits me with what I need it to do.

Currently I have no plans to buy a new Apple machine, and I feel confident that the MBP I have will last me for still yet a couple more years.

So to all who come here worried that the MBP you purchase will be less than stellar or be laced with problem after problem, I say here to put aside those worries and get the machine that you want because I haven't had any problems with my machine and I'm sure there is a high percentage of MBP owners as well (who stay silent in these forums) that haven't had any bad experiences as well.
