Yesterday at the Apple store, I saw a guy complain about the yellow tint issue right in front of me. He took out his iPad and refused to go until he got one without a 'yellow' display. Now he compared his iPad to all of the new iPads on display. For some reason, ALL of the new iPads on display at the Apple Store had cooler whites / didn't have a warm display in ANY way. Now BEFORE ANYONE SAYS that is because all the yellow tint displays are defective and that is why they aren't on display ... the manager ended up unpacking about 7 or so iPads and ALL still had a 'yellow' tint (compared to all of the displays at the Apple store!). So the guy ended up just taking one in the end.
For some reason, all of the displays for the new iPad have cooler screens - but the difference between these screens and our screens are that these are kept on ALL DAY LONG at FULL BRIGHTNESS. Has anyone tried leaving their iPad on for a whole day with full brightness on a movie or white screen? This might fix the display. I know some are going to come at me and say that will do nothing - but is there anyone here who has actually TRIED it? Curious to see what everyone has to say.
