I am a student, and was planning on purchasing a new Macbook (white uni) with my student aid refund. I noticed on the product cycle section of this site that there seems to commonly be an update around October/November. Has anyone here heard of any eminent updates within the year, or do you think they'll wait til '11? I thought they just updated, but it seems that two a year seems fairly common with the product. I'd be cool with waiting a month or so, but I don't want to wait any longer than that, unless they're bringing back FireWire or something like that. Thanks for your help! This site and forum has been a HUGE help in planning for my first Mac!

A (possibly stupid) question about Macbook updates

It has usually taken 7-10 months for Apple to update laptops so I wouldn't expect an update before early 2011. Besides, MBPs are always updated before the MacBook
