I seem to get a lot of 'green' texts from people. they show up on my 2 Macs, my iPhone (16.0.2) and my Apple watch, just like iMessages do.

When I delete a SMS text on a Mac it remains on all of the other devices. iMessages synch correctly and when one is trashed, all copies on other devices are removed too.

Is there a way to have this behavior corrected? I think it worked before updating to 16.

Try disabling Messages sync from your iPhone. Also disable iMessage in the iPhone settings. Same with your other devices. Turn everything back on, on your iPhone. Then on your other devices. Hopefully, the reset gets it all working again.

so .... I followed your suggestions and now, deleting a SMS text from my phone deletes it on the other devices but if I delete the SMS from a device it's sill on my phone. seems like it's always something lol.

Honestly, the sync has never been that great. Like sometimes messages will, and sometimes they will not update read status between my devices. But all you can really do on "i" devices is turn stuff off and back on to troubleshoot.

it's a mystery. I always hope the .1 update will take care of things. and I usually wait until that update to apply an new OS but felt brave this time.
