Hiya,

I'm from the UK but flying out to the US next month and am planning on buying a Macbook out there.

If I buy the AppleCare Protection Plan out there with the laptop, does that mean that (should anything go wrong with it!), I'd need to get it fixed in the US, or will I be able to get it fixed in the UK?

Am I right in thinking that the Protection Plan can be bought separately to the machine? If so, would you advise that I bought the plan through the UK site when I get back home?

Thanks alot in advance for your help.

Applecare on laptops should be worldwide but it is a point of confusion even among Apple staff. Buy it after you return home, it does not matter where, and register it in the UK.
