I currently have a Mac Mini serving as a HTPC and since I recently got myself a retina MBP, I've been thinking about selling the Mini and replacing it with the new Apple TV, however I have a concern:
The important functions of my Mini have been playing music through my AV receiver (mostly controlling it with the Remote iOS app and the screen turned off) as well as serving as a backup alarm clock (with my iPhone being the primary alarm). With the new Apple TV, can I expect to be able to have it play music via Apple Music, while simultaneously running some alarm app from the app store that will wake me up in the morning?
