hi,

how many of you have massive dvd collections?
like me i have over 500 dvds.

and i want to neatly store them in my rec room that i have in my basement.
but i dont know how to go about doing so.
do you have any suggestions?

i was thinking of disgarding all the cases and putting all the movies in sleeves and putting them in a cabinet type thing.

but then i thoguht to myself, what happens if i want to sell some of the movies later on. i wouldt be able to, since i wouldn't have the dvd cases.

so i have no idea what to do.
any ideas?

thanks so much, and once i have my rec room all setup i will post some pictures.

im thinking of getting a nice 42 inch hdtv and a nice home theater sound system.

or might just get a projector and a big screen.

thanks again for all the help and suggestions!:)

I have a lot of dvds and I recycle the rod unit from buying 100 unit packages. For the films, I throw the cases away and use a 100 unit for each year, labeled as such. Takes up almost no room. I end up not playing them much but I know where to find them.

Put video games in the sleeves.

For movies, keep them in their cases, and put 'em on display.
Same for video games, but you don't have as much so, keep them in the little pouch booklet thingy that they sell.

Used to have a modest-but-growing DVD collection. Put them in a bookcase like the above said.

I soon realized the foolishness of my ways and sold them all and got a Netflix membership. Couldn't be happier.
