A quick question..on e-mail ?

Hi. I am not the computer person but I'm trying to save my man from frustration. We use Panther regularly but use Tiger when required...like our ipod, and now turbotax. Any way he uninstalled Panther and put on Tiger to do our taxes,then reinstalled Panther. Only now when I try to send out e mail it says:

This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.

The server “SMTO-server.roadrunner.com” cannot be contacted on port 25.

We still receive e mail... but he couldn't figure it out... so I'm trying to get a solution. Anybody know what's up?

Hi,

SMTP is for sending emails only (POP is for receiving them)

Your problems seems like a typo. It should be "SMTP-server.roadrunner.com" instead of “SMTO-server.roadrunner.com”.

Go to Mail's preferences > Accounts and correct the server settings.


This should do it.
