This may seem like a bit of a stupid question but...

I have some photos that aren't around the right way. I have turned them (using both Preview and HP PhotoSmart Studio) and saved them, but the thumbnail still shows them as sideways? I can open them in these programs again and they are the correct way around, but when i upload them on the internet etc. they appear as sideways again?

It's not really important. Just would be nice to know how to rectify this problem :)

I notice this with a few images because the flip or rotate has been kept in the file's metadata and so the changes haven't strictly affected the image directly. My lame way around it was to save the files as something else. For example, I was wanting to rotate a JPEG so I did so in Preview and then saved it as a JPEG 2000. It didn't work saving it as a regular JPEG but changing the format did work. I admit it's a crap workaround, but it worked for me. :)
