Well, because of USB-IF's messes, it's really difficult to find a high speed transfer cable especially if it does not have any logo on it except for Apple and thunderbolt cables.

I have some USB-C to USB-C charging cables but I also need hight speed cables. But finding a right brand is very difficult since I dont trust them easily. For Thunderbolt, I can just buy from Apple or OWC.

Can you recommend any cable brands or just stick to Thunderbolt cables instead for high performance?

Apple thunderbolt 4, UNI, and Anker 765 cables are my choices. Cable consideration for audio and computing are valued components where performance is a concern. My Ipad charges with the Anker 765, and the iphone charges with the Anker USB C to Lightning Powerline+ III. These cables are thinner than the UNI which carries the higher data transfer rate. My Apple thunderbolt 4 cable is feeding into the OWC thunderbolt hub, later this cable will be used to connect to an Apple monitor.

So I spent a LOT of time and money researching this. Suffice to say it is a mess. If you mean you want a 10Gbps cable (you didnt say what speed you wanted), the best bet is to get a USB-IF certified cable. It doesnt guarantee it works correctly and well, but it is high probability. Then the next thing is you want to have someone with a $10k USB C cable tester do a review of that cable. The one I use (want a short one) is .5m.

USB C to USB A is a little harder

These sometimes go on sale....

I tried many non USB-IF certified and it is NOT worth the trouble, because all you get is trouble. Out of maybe 2 dozen cables I tested, only 1 worked. Go figure. Several were intermittent and would work sometimes, and others would fail under heavy loads, like copying for 30 min, it would fail after 10 min....

Thanks, for doing some "homework" on these cables. I'm not looking for these cables now but knowing me I will in the future.

I mostly use Anker for most of my cables and even usb Muti port hubs, power banks etc. Ugreen and Syncwire are also good but 99% of the time I try to get Anker brand.

Ive just brought a pair of Anker 333 usb c cables to use on my 16" M1 Pro, mainly to bring down the charge wattage from 140 down to 100w.

Anker is my top choice.

I also have several Cable Matters TB3 that connect my ASDs to my Studio.

Agreed, Anker is the best of the best.

Anker cables are usually USB-IF certified:

UseBeam does not show up as USb-IF certified at all.

cables matters USB4 are the only ones that show as USB-IF certified.

For myself, I no longer waste my time using non USB-IF certified cables.
