I'd almost forgotten all about it, everything was so smooth on the forums side Indeed, looks like the extra boxes were a worth while investment.

Duff-Man says...servers get an "A" for handling the load...members get a "D" for not paying attention and creating too many useless duplicate threads....oh yeah!
I concur with everyone else, the servers handled the load very well. Not a bad investment. Good job, MacRumors!
And certainly infinitely better than what happened to my site! Our server got knocked down before the keynote even began! (We've been moved to a more robust server since then.)
