A secure way to upgrade CPU's in Mac Pro 2009

It's very secure to replace CPU A then check if all is ok and then proceed to CPU B. In worst scenario you will just boot with single CPU.

agree. I used the same approach only yesterday to upgrade a dual CPU MP 2009. I've posted a longish description of the procedure in a separate thread
