a silly question

I am a proud new owner of a macbook SR I dont have problems with my mac, except when I use msn messenger,

when I accidentally click on some keys,

the input cursor becomes highlighted, and keys that i type just replace the previous one...kinda like the insert or whatever.

what key did I hit?

How can i take a screenshot, btw?
