Have you tried to restart your iPad?
Thank you everyone. I just want to make sure since I didn't turn on DND and I still can't hear a thing. (Other sounds are fine.)
Below are the sounds in my Settings. There is no sound for plugging in. Are you guys seeing the same thing?

You don't get the option to turn off or on the charging sounds. Is your phone's ringer volume turned up? I'll attach an audio file of what it sounds like.

Its different and softer (and better for a lot of people that way), and while it is somewhat quiter in a sense it's not that drastic if a difference.Yes, that's it. Thank you. It's like a ten times fainter than the iOS6 version.
Yes, there is one. And it sounds like Windows now.The one that go off when you plugged it in.

Strange that the new sound isn't loud enough for you. But I guess it can be different for different people. Before I just plugged my iPad (in case) and it went plingg!! And I knew it's charging and walked away. (I don't have to check or see if it's charging, or if I turned on the plug or not - it's the extension plug). Took about a sec. Now I can't just do that. I have to open the cover to check. Worse, the big battery icon is also gone. Now there's charging percentage but on iPad 2 this is delayed for a few secs. You don't see it immediately when you open the cover. It's quite a let down now that the good, quick, and perfect experience was just gone.
