A special 2.2 upgrade question for Original iPhone unlocked.

My girlfriend has an original iPhone running 2.1 unlocked. I've heard that upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2 will keep the iPhone unlocked. My question is this... she's using BossPrefs to turn EDGE off since she's using a carrier that doesn't have a data plan, so if she upgrades, will EDGE get turned back on again? I ask this because 2.2 will erase the jailbreak but, I don't know if the EDGE setting will stick.

It will break the unlock if she does a restore/upgrade to 2.2. But if she just does the upgrade and doesn't restore it should still be unlocked. Not sure about the edge thing though. Why don't you wait a few days for the dev team to release the updated pwnage tool?
