Last week, I visited the Tsujiki Fish market in Tokyo, one of the largest in the world (a soon to be displaced to newer and more modern facilities).

Apparently, we had the occasion to see a (rare?) species of fish that even attracted the attention of the blazed fishermen and fish wholesalers that work in the market.

I was not able to identify the species of that fish. Does anyone know the name?

Tsujiki fish market is cool.

Nice place to have a fresh sushi/sashimi breakfast.

In Japan, there are some other towns with wonderful fish markets. Some of the best sushi/sashimi that I've ever had was in Hokkaido. Northern Japan is wonderful as well. All very fresh! :)
