I tried to Clean the smudge inside the imac 27' LCD. After I finished, I got this line. Any recommendations?

Why did you opened and tried to clean the LCD by yourself? Was it out of warranty? I think you're out of options. Either bring it to Apple Store, or buy a new external monitor, or screen replacement. But I guess the smudge will be back, so I just suggest get a new external display.

But serious question, did the smudge gone?

Yes the Smudge gone and it looks beautiful with a line in the middle :)
Yes it is out of waranaty.

Open it back up and check all the connections to the LCD, you have nothing to lose now.

Thank you for your response.
Did this already and no luck. seems like I'll order a new monitor from China. much cheaper

that is kind of cool to be honest, never seen anything like it.... just also curious as to how a smudge got on the inside of the screen?! I don't think you killed the display, the pixels haven't died (they are two different colours), although i'm not really sure what happened, if you applied too much pressure the display would have cracked in a spiderweb. Exhaust all software options and then take the thing to bits and put back together before buying a new LCD Replacement!

I will try again tomorrow. Thanks for the tip. Will keep you posted.
