I know some people bad mouth TTP 5, but I had a situation yesterday where a drive would not dismount and I had to pull the FW cable. Of course I got the "Warning, you should always eject, etc." (BTW, why can you pull a cable without ejecting on a Windows PC with no problem?). And sure enough, the drive was "damaged." I fired up Disk Warrior to repair and DW locked up. I tried the same on a different computer and DW locked up again. I tried Disk Utility and it reported that the disk could not be repaired. So I tried TechTool 5 and it rebuilt the drive with no problem.

So hats off to TT 5! Based on this, I plan to upgrade to TT6.
