Okay so as I understand it my iMac auto-downloads App Store updates and stores those updates on my hard drive while awaiting my approval to install them.

Is there anyway to delete these unwanted auto-downloads after the App Store has already downloaded them? For example I don't plan on updating my iTunes (personal preference) so I have no need to store the update on my hard drive.

Tried searching for the answer, but only results where how to delete the apps off the Launchpad and from the App Store purchases or something. :confused:

Not sure how you would delete them but to avoid it in the future if you go to….

System Preferences->Software Update

You can tell it not to automatically download the updates.

The only things I have selected are…

- Automatically check for updates.
- Install system data files.
