Upgraded from a gold 14 Pro Max. I was initially underwhelmed with both the 15 and 16 series. However, AT&T offered a compelling trade in opportunity, so I jumped before inevitable price increase in the 17/18/19 series. Some thoughts

1) Coming from the heavy 14PM, the 16PM is easier to hold and handle despite the bigger dimensions (I know it is larger than the 15PM)

2) I like camera control button

3) Photo quality improvement is noticeable

4) I went with natural titanium. I like the titanium edge more than I thought I would

5) I am glad to preserve the always on display - I have been considering downgrading to the regular series, but it the current 16s don’t have the crucial feature, and it looks like the 17s will lose the plus option. If is frustrating how difficult Apple makes it to move from pro to regular, but it is what it is

6) Charging is faster

An iterative upgrade for sure, but I am glad I made it for basically zero out of pocket and after trading in a phone in pretty poor condition (broken back glass). Plan to keep this phone for the next three years

Did they change value after inspection or AT&T takes any condition? I assume they would of told you by now since it's been a couple weeks.

No - the AT&T promotion specifically says “iPhone in any condition.” The promotion is still available. Before the promotion I was going to use my Amex phone insurance to fix the phone. This saved me a deductible and got me an elevated trade in value

I took my daughter to a Verizon store to get her 16e activated. Previously she was using the latest SE iPhone. Got all her data and apps transferred, and the phones switched.

Meanwhile, I was happy with my 14 Pro, but the rep explained I had a credit on my line for a free upgrade. I was missing my old Pro Max screen and had changed to the standard Pro iPhone for easier one-handed use. I walked out with a new 16 Pro Max and I'm very happy with it. Loving that large screen and crazy battery life!
