A1226 with no sound and battery service

Hi all.

I have MBP 15" A1226
No sound - in settings in only DIGITAL OUT, volume bar is grey, wont respond on volume buttons

Second problem: showing SERVICE BATTERY, I swaped battery from another A1226 and problem is still the same...

Whats wrong?
I/O board?

i had this problem on my 15" early 2011 MBP A1286 3 days with no sound no light in the audio port even with the apple earbuds no go, i plugged in external speakers for my desktop computer and i got sound working.

I would try the IO board if you have another machine handy you can swap with.

I/O board replaced and sound works fine again
