So apparently my iPhone 5 charger (model A1265) is incompatible with my iPhone 6 (which came with model A1385). They both look exactly the same and appear to have the same power input/output ratings. Does anyone happen to know the difference between the two?

I know it is a silly thing to ask and it really doesn't matter, but I am just curious. My quick Google search suggested that the different model number indicate different manufacturers.

Don't worry about it and just use it. I actually the charger from my iPad for faster charging

I should clarify, my iPhone 6 is not complaining that the A1265 charger is incompatible. I plug the charger in and nothing happens at all. That is what I am curious about, since they are exactly the same in every way except the model number.

I haven't used the charger that came with my 6 yet. It's still wrapped in the box. I still have the one from my iPhone 5 plugged in next to the bed and it's charged it fine for 3 weeks now. How are they not compatible?
