Just bought a used 21.5" 2017 base iMac with the standard 1tb hard drive (not fusion or SSD).

Can someone let me know if I can replace it with a NVME? Im getting mixed reports from Google so any thoughts with someone with the machine would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

"This model has a Serial ATA (6 Gb/s) connector for a 2.5" hard drive. If configured with a "Fusion" Drive or an SSD at the initial time of system purchase, it also has a PCIe connector, but as first reported by site sponsor OWC, this connector is not present if the system only is configured with a hard drive."
