A1496 battery in A1369 (2010)?

I believe this is the new battery from the 2013 unit, does it work and last longer in the 2010?

Thankyou, so does it last longer given that it has a greater capacity (~7150 vs 6700mAh if I remember correctly)?

Any suggestions on buying one of good quality aside from Apple? Are the aftermarket options of similar quality or are they generally of lower capacity than they claim?

I mean for MBA batteries specifically, I know it's a mixed bag for other notebooks.

If you buy from iFixit, you have a really good warranty backing it, and it is generally Apple OEM for these types of things. Highly recommend looking at them.

Also, they have some killer prices on 2013 Air SSDs. Holy crap, makes me want a 512.

So iFixit does not approve this battery as compatible for the A1369, or anything before 2012 for that matter.

Seems a bit odd however, as the 2012 should use the same battery is 2011 and 2010?

This suggests cross compatibility, as the Mid 2012 MBA is listed for both batteries. I suppose by that logic it should work?
