Was there any liquid spills on the computer or anything happened to the laptop before this problem occurred? Without knowing the exact condition of the computer before problems occurred it is hard to troubleshoot it.
 
You can try reseating the display data cable connector.
Remove the bottom cover. Find the display connector.
It looks like this:
Pull the plastic tab on the display data cable connector to unlock it.

There's a little spring clip with a plastic tab. Pull that to unlock the connector, then slide the connector out of its socket. (Don't' pull up on the connector), then re-insert. Push the clip back in place. Look around that area for evidence of liquid, or obvious corrosion (often a green-ish or blue powder near any of the chips) The reseat might help, or may do nothing at all, but worth a quick try.

Before doing this disconnect your battery first.

Thank you for suggestions. I did all of that. Everything looks clean inside. Still stumped.
