Youtube suggested this video, and it seems comparable to those Anandtech chip reviews which I dearly missed. Bit geeky, but it’s more interesting that people reading out the apple spec sheets. If anyone know any other channels reviewing this, please share with me.

While the CPU bested the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it seems that the GPU hasn’t caught up with it. These are interesting metrics, I didn’t know Snapdragon had a lead in GPU at the moment.

Android chips figured ray tracing last year.

I just watched that video... I am thankful there are youtubers interested in doing deep dive reviews.

Did this review sobber anyone up on buying the iPhone 15 Pro or further delay it to say 2027 when removable batteries becomes law?

Thanks for sharing. Some odd choices were made in the video, like using the dated Geekbench 5 rather than 6, only focusing on one section of the Solar Ray benchmark, and not resolving the massive GPU performance discrepancy he observed between Resident Evil and GfxBench 5.

The focus on using coolers to test peak performance also strikes me as odd since that will have little to no bearing how most people experience these products.

That said, it was still informative and an interesting watch.

Did one YouTube review on a mobile processor make me decide to wait 4 years more years for a phone based on it having a feature that is highly unlikely anyway? No, not it did not.
