I have a 2016 15" MacBook Pro with the gen 2 butterfly keyboard and the sticky keys issue. The battery also doesn't last long when unplugged.
Buying a new A1707 top case with a new battery would solve the battery issue, but I'm assuming I'd still get a gen 2 keyboard, which may fail, or it may not.
The 2018 15" MacBook Pro has the gen 3 keyboard and in a lot of ways the top case is identical to the 2016 model.
Would it be possible to use the top case, keyboard, and battery from the 2018 model and install the logic board, speakers, etc. from my 2016 MBP? Do the mounting screw hole locations line up, etc.
Anyone know?
