A2179 dead with blinking white LED on motherboard

Hi.

My A2179 MacBook Air 2020 suddenly stopped working. When I opened the laptop, there is a white flashing LED on the motherboard whenever the charger is plugged in. Can someone explain what this LED is for and why it might be blinking?

Could be any number of things.. from bad battery to bad USB port to bad logic board. Take to Apple Store or authorized service center and have them diagnose the issue. This model is lntel MBA 2020 so most likely cheaper to buy replacement on used market.
