A2DP receiver to 3.5mm jack

Hi,

This is similar to https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/724247/ but I hoped the more concise title may get a response.

My car has a 3.5mm in jack. Id like a bluetooth receiver unit so that I can play music wirelessly from my iphone 3GS.

Any advice?

Thanks OP for quoting that thread (from long time ago) and thanks kalafalas for the link. I'm wondering, have you personally tried the said device? It says that the battery life on it won't last more than 1/4 of what it should. That and it won't work while it's charging. Are there any other options?

Blackberry Stereo Gateway Adapter maybe? Only thing is it needs to be powered via USB at all times...not that big a deal.

Yeah, the battery doesn't last anywhere near as long as it says it should. Playing music from my 3GS, it'll only last for about 1.5 hours to 2 hours. You also can't charge it while in use because it uses the same 3.5mm jack that it plays from to charge it.

Overall though it's not too bad for the $15 I paid for it.

I use the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS205. It's rechargeable, lasts for hours, and is about the size of a AA battery.
