Looking through various threads/forums/etc. I get the impression the potential for an untethered A4 5.1 jailbreak is rather slim? With all focus on the A5?

Am I wrong?

Thanks!

PS: You can downvote if you want, I really dont care. :D

Just got news on this! As it turns out, we are now down to only two options; it will either happen or it won't.

lol! well... that is a valid point. :D

This made me chuckle. Thanks !

OP, the jailbreak tools for A4 devices are much easier to create than A5 devices.

Yeah, I've read this before... but wonder if an untethered JB is being delayed due to focus on the A5 systems, or if it's already been completed and is delayed due to hopes for keeping specific OS holes from getting plugged.

I suspect the hackers (pod2g) wants to use a single tool or userland exploit for all devices .

Makes sense to me, I would suspect with their recent announcements involving so many newly found exploits, the time between now and a complete JB for all devices is not far off.

But who knows.

Just curious to see if anyone knew anything I was unable to parse.

There are other sources, like firest0rm and others who claim to already have a working 5.1 untethered JB. I wonder if they actually work?
