A5 unsigned firmware restore ability status?

I have been out of the loop a bit with regards to this but…
With the media event tomorrow and my assumption about 5.1 going live later in the day, I am wondering if there has been any progress made about A5 devices (iPhone 4S and iPad 2) not having the ability to restore to unsigned firmware? I have my SHSH files for both saved locally as well as with Saurik in hopes that they will be helpful down the road. Anyone know of a new development on restoring to 5.0.1 if needed?

Once Apple stops signing 5.0.1 (after 5.1 drops) there will be no going back or restoring to 5.0.1 for A5 devices since there is no boot level exploit for those devices.
