This is a complete question of curiosity, and I am no tech guru.

But I'm curious, is there any way to compare an A7 to desktop-class processors, and if so where would it sit? Or are the architectures so different that any comparison would be meaningless.

Is the A7 more powerful the the old Core 2 Duo's? What about compared to Atom processors?

Thanks for satiating my curiosity. :D

Way down off the bottom of the scale.

Maybe an Atom cpu. Discussed a month ago.

It has desktop class features, not performance.
